My selection of stainless steel for the Drais BMT was very much on purpose due to its strong corrosion resistance and overall strength verses weight characteristics.
It’s also biologically inert and 100% recyclable, this means you can literally eat off of it then you can throw it 30 000 ft from an airplane and (if you can find it), still have a fully bike multi-tool at the end of the day ready to save your ass should you experience mechanical issues with your bike!
Everything about the 14 ga (roughly 2 mm or 1/16″ thick) 304 stainless steel used for the Drais BMT is industrial grade, it’s why this material and the processes CNCROi.com used to manufacture them are the same as with our defense, aerospace and bio-engineering customers.
In order to prevent theft of your Drais BMT, we also offer free personalized fiber laser etching with every tool.
